What a welcome,it was fantastic to see so many there especially as the rains had come & gone.We gave Marcus a champers shower ,drank beers ,caught up with mums/dads, felt exhausted...went to the prize giving..what a saturday to remember.
But as on the Lady Qing we have to do things our way & up grade the proceedings,so it was planned to meet in the Champagne Bar of the Pan Am on Sunday &Champers we drunk. It was great to meet the Mums/ Dads of our crew..as we all know on board the Lady that you guys at home are part of our crew ..but with joy comes sadness, for we all knew in our hearts it was time to say good bye.. as I write I have a tear ..yes .. but not of sad memories but of the fun,the joyful occasions,Oscar always happy,The ripping of the Weshman Ant ..and more.
As I looked around the room I felt proud to have sailed, hung out with you all & that you guys made this a wonderful journey for me.
I sit here I have so many words I want to say,but hey where does one start & how can I find the right words.
As we have just left Liverpool, it was also time to say good bye to friends made on other boats,Liverpool Clipper being close to the Lady Qing & waving to those on the dock was hard.. I hope we meet again.
